Re: Skreddy new fuzz fail
Don't tell me we're grasping for something to player-hate on just because he's big at TGP. Because that would be some bullshit.
As a consumer, I always thought Skreddys were about 25-30% overpriced for what they are, and I'm sure most people feel the same. But when you look at it from the business POV, it's those kind of prices that make the whole industry viable, and formidable, and competitive. To successfully command a price that raises the common eybrow is no small feat, and should be respected. Maybe it's based upon corksniffery and elitist herd mentality, and maybe his customers just like having something cool and exclusive and shiny to treasure and show off. Whatever the reason, dude has figured out how to monetize it, make it his bitch and pimp it out, and he gets love everywhere from what I've seen. Laugh at the suckers who pay that much if it makes you feel better, but Skreddy just is, and always has been. This doesn't change my opinion at all. I like watching Chernobyl documentaries, there is a certain cool factor regardless of, and because of the tragedy. It's mysterious and haunting and atmospheric, and to me the name evokes that much more than it does any semblance of political incorrectness. And it's a fuzz for fuck's sake. Go full Metasonix on the name if you want to.
MASF is even cooler now, thanks for that

Important people are things that we should save up bitching for? Weird.Teej212 wrote:Save your bitching for things that actually are important people.

A good question here is why ISN'T there a pedal called Alan?
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Chernobyl would be a way cooler name if it was a reverb...with fuzz...like a boutique analog mangledverb.

Couldn't care less about the name personally. So it's not particulary PC, I see that. But it takes more to chock me these days I guess
The single one thing I do dislike about skreddy: Aren't they like $300 muff clones, why everyone and their mothers are selling good $150 muff clones?

They're $200. That's barely profitable for a small shop in California that has no other source of income.

The first thing I did as soon as I realized people were offended by the name was change it. I didn't argue about it or justify it; I changed it.Shish wrote:
I never had a Skreddy pedal before and now I'm sure I never will. He did change the name, but only to avoid "drama". This is probably pissing me off way more than it should, but you just can't be that ignorant.
The second thing I did was apologize. To you. Edit: oops; now that I'm logged on and my time region is fixed, I see that I apologized like an hour after you started this thread.

Anyhow, sorry.

Yeah, if anyone wants to chime in and say they're already working on something like that, that would be de-lightfulD.o.S. wrote:Ok so now that you're here:
