EBS flat cables = possible awesomeness

I'm guessing the wire inside is shielded, and the rubber coating is flat. Tempted to cut one apart and see what it is. Probably heading down to the rehearsal room on Thursday - will take a couple of cables and run a shit load of fuzz through them at 100+ dB and see if I get any Mexican long wave radio action.

Well, they still are 50% more than in the german shops, but the international shipping is about the same and they seem to stock enough. It's good.

Just some words of caution:

Some of my EBS cables are starting to fail. You peeps who don't swap out pedals often may not have this problem, but as someone who plugs and unplugs pedals all the time, my cables are starting to get all crackly/staticy.

I believe the culprit is the poorly reinforced molded plastic casing. It doesn't seem strong enough to hold up to multiple pluggings/unplugging. I think the metal part of the plug is beginning to come loose from the plastic part. So, these have lasted a lot less time for me than other cheapish cables. Kind of a bummer because I like them otherwise.

Yeah, you may not encounter this problem.

I'll get in touch with EBS, but I'm not sure I really expect them to do anything about it. I'd only really do it to let them know about the problem. The only thing that'd fix it is stronger construction. Not sure they're prepared to do anything about that immediately. Maybe somewhere down the line. (Also, I think my e-mail will work from here to Sweden, thanks. )

Maybe I should just get some of their interconnection plugs?

Nah I meant that I got in contact with a Swedish dude really quickly - I emailed in Swedish. So if their international office isn't the same dudes, and it is tardy I can hit up the guy I had contact with!
