Muff+OD two in one pedal?
Just curious, what are my options for a good BMP+OD in one pedal? The thing it, the two effects don't have to be seperately switchable, I'd rather have a more compact pedal. I know there should be plenty of diy'ers out there that could build me something like that, but I was just wondering: Anyone established builders out there offering something like that? I'm not pickly on the OD side, anything that could add a little beef/bass/gain to the Muff would be great. Whether it's something hotcake-ish, a Dist+, Ruetz Rat...All fine by me.
As for the Muff side: Dito. triagle, ram's head, opamp,...Just no sovtek muffs please.

Yeah, there's quite a few two-in-one pedals in that style, but if it's that big and has two switches, I might as well combine one of my OD peds with the BMP of my choice.
Nobody out there manage to stuff a decent od circuit inside a regular sized BMP clone? Don't need a ton of controls and gismoz either, just your usual tone/level controls, and maybe an additional control for the distortion level of the overdrive circuit.

I can't think of any production pedals, but I use my Colorsound Overdriver clone to boost the front end of my Rams Head clone and get some great results with that setup. Maybe get someone in the Shark Tank to build you something like this. Or you could keep it in the Muff family and boost the front end of the Big Muff of your choice with a Lpb1 or Muff Overdrive.

Weird, I would've thought that there'd be lotsa people looking for something similar. The boost/od + muff thing is a pretty well know and popular combo, right? So why doesn't every boutique builder have that in a single small-ish enclosure?
What about muff clones that have extra gain and low end, but aren't necessarily marketed as a od+muff combination?

Is'nt that what the Super Collider is? Not that it seems to be marketed as such.

I've never tried one either, I'm not even sure it's what I said it might be. Was just throwing out ideas. Maybe check out Kitrae's Big Muff page. I think there is a section on Muff style clones and variations. Some of the variations are boosted/overdriven Muff style.

Came to say this. Dude makes great pi, and the Black Forest is the only overdrive pedal I'd like to own. I'm not fond of most OD pedals, prefer clean MOSFET or dirty germanium treble/mid boosters more. I've heard some awesome Pharaoh clips, and his LSTR is the pedal that replaced my V7C Green Army Muff.SquareWaveFuzz wrote:

Edit: Just saw the comment about size. The right pedal is worth the investment in real estate.

Exactly what the Coven is Colorsound OD > Muff clone.KaosCill8r wrote:I can't think of any production pedals, but I use my Colorsound Overdriver clone to boost the front end of my Rams Head clone and get some great results with that setup. I'm pretty sure the Musket is a fuzz + pre-boost. If I'm not mistaken, that's exactly what the "pre" knob is controlling.
