Re: help me pic out a delay! please!...
I have the malekko 300 bright and I love the sound but I find the short delay time to be a little annoying at times I would have preferred the 600 in the long run I think

yeah i know what your saying.
i ended up getting the 300 dark, malekko had tracks on their website of the 300 dark on bass and i really dug it... but i think i'll be buying a 600 soon enough.
or i might try and get a 616... i'm sure i'll eventually get bored with the short delay time as well, i just did'nt have a hundred more bucks to spend.
thanks for the advice man!

Re: help me pic out a delay! please!...
Those are all very different...
The akai is mostly for looping...you don't really see many people bragging about how much better the delays sound. It is an excellent user friendly looper though.
The e300's are some of THE best small form slapback delays out there. I've got the e600dark and it's one of my favorite small form analog delays.
Vox time machine...digital like the headrush, with the a long delay time and tap tempo but no looper.
I guess it comes down to features...looping vs true "analog" vs tap tempo
If you wanted the malekko 616 I'd hold out for one, none of those three really come close (not to knock the e300, it's a slapback monster, but it is a 300ms delay).
Don't settle.
*lulz looks lik you already decided, good choice for teh slapbacks...I think I need to hunt down an e300bright soon.*

Yuck, never liked the aqua puss, not even the original I played. they seem to command quite a pile of dough for john mayer fans though.

...what was it about it you didn't like? I'm usually a tape echo/delay nazi and the one I had yrs ago was tits...most of the complaints i've read over the years was that it was only capable of 300ms...but to my ears the repeats sounded really freakin good...not tape mind you but for a non-tape delay pretty freakin good...yeah I know douchebags like Mayer & Brad Paisley seem to be drawn to it's "uber-rarity"
