So, I just plugged in my DOD FX60 stereo chorus and, when engaged, all I got was a terrible squeal.
Bypass works fine. Tried powering it with a psu and battery to no avail. Anybody have any experience with DOD stuff?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it a pedal you use regularly? If not, when was the last time you used it? Loan it out to anyone? Wrong PS used with it?
Does adjusting the knobs do anything to the squeal?

Re: HELP: DOD chorus squeal
I got it a few weeks ago, plugged it in to see that it worked and then put it in a drawer. Yesterday was the first time since I pulled in out.
I powered it with a battery the day I got it, then yesterday powered it with a Cioks dc5.
Turning the knobs doesn't seem to do anything.

Same on both outputs? Also, you're testing JUST that one pedal, right?

Re: HELP: DOD chorus squeal
The FX60 doesn't actually have two outputs. Also, scratch that whole "knobs doon't do anything" thing.

That is the sound of a feedback loop. No idea what is causing it though. I know people like to use the FX65 for that exact noise.

Did a little research. Depending on the year, you will either have 1 or 2 trim pots inside the pedal. Have you tweaked the internal trim pots at all? Maybe you did by accident. Apparently, these are the keys to making it self oscillate like that.

Well, I got in there and rolled back that trim pot to get the feedback to go away, but now it is distorting. It's even doing it ever so slightly to the bypass signal.

Sounds like the bias still isn't right. It's gone from too much to too little. Keep on tweekin..
