Tattoos are not lame and safe.
Society is relaxing its rules about who can and cannot have a tattoo.
That's such a snobby thing to say.
Things don't become lame and safe just because they reach a wider demographic.

Oh my God of fucking course you dislike Conor Oberst.

And I think that resonates for people of every gender.

my highschool girlfriend was hardline and loved a lot of euro metalcore. Better, or worse?
Hard to say.

I was going to make a joke about 'that not being the kind of Congress I was talking about' but I don't even want that band in my youtube browser history.

Tattoos are totally safe now. It rules because it means it's a viable career choice for incredible artists instead of the purveyors of sacred hearts and other shitty flash that we had to deal with years ago.

Do I "like" Conor Oberst?

Do I LIKE Conor Oberst?

The question is not Do you like Conor Oberst?

But Do you own the now extremely OOP vinyl box set?

And Did you buy it from Saddle Creek mailorder in 2004?

And Do you own all of his subsequent albums on vinyl as well, and some on CD, too (for the car)?

And Was the legit first conversation you ever had with your wife of 10 years about Desaparecidos lyrics?

And Do you play a ukulele cover of "At The Bottom Of Everything" at every open mic set you play?

YES

You know me by now, get your head out of your ass LOL

It's impossible to make an accurate Top 10 Albums list, but Lifted would have to be on there

daseb wrote:I mean that Into It Over It band is the absolute primo example of this. Look at their merch, it's their name slapped into a bunch of logos of 90s touchstones. Cool, we get it, you know know who ebullition records and Lifetime are. Now how about showing us who you are and what you're doing with this music now rather than being an exercise in brand association with something that happened a couple decades ago?
Dude, Evan has been releasing music under Into It. Over It. for like ten years now, and was in My Heart To Joy and a couple of other bigger emo bands. He's also in a project with one of the Kinsellas.
