Yeah, I can get behind this 100%. I wanna hear clips but this could potentially replace a whole bunch of dirt.

Demo's please! I usually like to know how a pedal sounds before I drop $270!

Except that it's DBA so you'll buy it anyway because that is how the Kool Aide crumbles.

That's a very cool looking pedal! Sounds like it could be a good way to get different fuzz sounds from the same pedal on the fly, without tweaking with knobs. Very interested in this one. Looking forward to clips/demos.

I assume there must have been a good reason for setting it up the way they did, but it seems like it would be advantageous to have the DIP switch on the outside, where we can get at it easily...

It seems very tailored to the set it and forget it camp, which I can respect. Tweak what you want before hand and always have your go to sounds at the press of a switch. Plus dip switches are smaller than regular flip switches.
Im stoked to hear the boost is for bass/mid/treble and not just a singular boost. that in combo with the filter could lead to some sweet versatility. I just hope I like the base fuzz character / it can handle two note chords.

The only thing with set-and-forgets, when playing live...
it is nice (and practical) to be able to dial-back/up the treble/bass/grit or whatever, based on the room. I'm not sure you could always get away with just using the amp EQ to conquer that.
Much as I'm a minimalist kind of guy - I can't remember a time when I didn't have to/want to do that.
Still. It's a great idea. And of course, I'm curious to know if I could get it to work for me.

I dig the "set it and forget it" aspect, because having the Boost, Blast and Filter sections to modify the base tone give you a lot of variety. Great for gigging players, less so for bedroom tweakers I guess...
I disagree with your perception of gigging musicians vs bedroom tweakers. I've seen many, many bands play with their effects before a song. Tweaking settings from song to song. This would make it so that's impossible. So it would actually be worse for someone who gigs IMO. Unless you have the same constant few tones.
I mean the concept is cool, the layout still is really bad.
If I were them, I would have put all the footswitches on the bottom and oriented the pcb in a horizontal manor. I'm sure they could have tweaked the schematic to do that. That way there's NO chance of hitting the knob or having stomps in weird places.
But whatever. This will sell like crazy. It might sound great too. Who knows.

I think they should have put all four of the foot switches on the side and called it "The Shitkicker".jwar wrote: If I were them, I would have put all the footswitches on the bottom and oriented the pcb in a horizontal manor. You could always put a tiny little knob on there if you're worried about bumping it.
If I had the money for this, I'd be STOKED.
I'm a lot less worried about the knob on this than I would be on the silver rose. That shit would drive me fucking bonkers.
