I was pretty impressed with some of the clips of the SFT. It seems like it can do a great Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age kind of thing as well as being a very thick, saturated sound. I was looking at the SCOD for that kind of sound and while the SFT lacks the mid range growl of the SCOD, the SCOD comes off as sounding honky and artificial compared to a "real" Orange amp. The SFT actually sounds much more organic.
I'm wondering though if there are other pedals that might be worth checking out for similar sounds? I don't want to do a straight rip of a Josh Homme tone, but I do like that kind of territory.
Is the VT Bass Amplug any good?
Maybe I could get an SVT clone amp? Especially if it was SS and 1x12 that'd be handy. Plus I'd be able to use it with a Bass(obviously).
