Moog Minifooger MF Drive
I know this pedal has been mentioned in a few other threads, but I didn't see anything dedicated. If you have one, do you still like it? A buddy brought one over to my practice space this weekend and I was in love with the way it sounded through my Verellen. The texture and compression were sensational.
Thinking about picking one up. Anything else comparable I should consider? I think it's neat that it can be used with an expression pedal, but I don't think I can imagine any scenario where I would use a pseudo wah effect.
Tell me everything.

I have 2. It's by a wide margin my favorite all around dirtbox. I find it super versatile and easy to get it to do cool things. RE the Expression input: an expression pedal is super boring and kinda defeats the purpose for me-invest in something like the EHX 8 Step Program or Moog CP251 (OR BOTH!) and turn it into a crazy modulated filter monster.
With all this talk of the new Gonkulator I'm thinking about setting it up in an LS-2 with the Minifooger Ring to get hardcore supertweakable Gonkulator toanz.

I play guitar and modular synthesizer in Juggable Offense.

You could probably control both of them with the same 8 step program too.moogboy wrote:I have 2. It's by a wide margin my favorite all around dirtbox. Does anyone know what the differences are between V1 and V2 beyond slightly different typeface on the enclosure?

Re: Moog Minifooger MF Drive
I have one, I dig it.
I use it on keyboard actually and it works great.
I really bought it for the filter aspect
but the gain works well with the synth.
It's versatile too, so you can use it as a low-gain boost…
But the filter, that's where it's at for me...

Re: Moog Minifooger MF Drive
I just did something awesome with mine. I'll post a clip soon. Copped some hm-2 chainsaw death tones by feeding my mf drive drive with the tone up a fair bit into my elements set to kill with some blend dialed in. Sounded exactly like (if not a little better!) the heavy metal toanz
