Arvo Part 'Fratres' on a Mixer

Pretty sick

Can anyone suggest a cheap mixer with enough I/O and Send/Returns for noisy stuff?

That sounds cool indeed. Need to try that as well.

Any mackie or behringer with more then 8 channels and lots of aux outs and sends and inserts will work, a separate bus mix is useful but not necessary... That second link says he uses an EHX 2880 which I have and that could be useful, I guess he's running it between the send and return and sampling the feedback to pitch it...

Every time I've seen Toshimaru Nakamura, it's looked like he's playing on a bog standard Mackie eight channel deal. Cant stress the importance of EQ enough on no-input stuff though.

I had no idea you could do that on a mixer, so flipping sweet

I had a teacher introduce me to arvo part way back in what I like to call the 90s
blew my mind
still does

Ah, that moment when you're just finishing up an (overlong) post gushing about the awesomeosity of the thread and conjecturing about whether it might be possible to harness such sonorities to an electric guitar signal, and the train goes into a tunnel and your phone browser resets flushing all your wordy words down the digitoilet.

But thanks Faldoe for awesome awesomeosity. I may start a thread asking for input into my musings and leave this one for the purity of no-input mixing board synthesis.
