NOISEMAKERS (NJ/NY/CT/etc noise documentary)

Post by Seizurema »

Hey ILF! My band and some other really interesting/noisy local bands from the east coast were featured in this small documentary that was just released. It's about the spirit noise and the people who make it. Though it's probably designed for helping people understand harsh noise who are unfamiliar with it, it's still pretty cool and an interesting thing that happened to us recently - so I thought I'd share it with ze ILF brethren

I didn't get any talking parts. :grumpy:

EDIT:: I am having trouble embedding it. If someone wants to do that, that'd be helpful :thumb:

I hope VA is represented, too.

I liked what I saw of your band, even though I think a lot of the discussion (like most discussion about this sort of music) pretty droll.

good deals are here.

My friend said that they left out all the interesting parts of his interview. I imagine they cut a lot of footage that they took. He hypothesizes it's because he talks about liking the Beatles and you're not allowed to do that and make harsh noise ...   :whateva:

My main problem with it is the lack of actual noise. :idk:

And yes they should've done the whole East Coast.

That was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with D.o.S. in a way. Even if I don't think writing off what someone defines noise as is productive at all, as some opinions will resonate with some while others will come across as forced or just a way of saying "I'm different". This is of course because a lot of noisemakers (including most of us and the people in this documentary) are shit at articulation and expressing the true meaning behind what they are feeling and thinking, hence the pull towards music as a means of expression. Interviews and documentaries where people are talkng about how theyre not able to express themselves is quite paradoxal. Still, I very much enjoy watching these kinds of things. I do wish there were more performances though.
