I liked it better with white/cream PU rings, but either way, that guitar is freaking delicious!

Hmm... I had a hard time deciding myself.
Is half and half any better?

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Got a $25 GFS Luthier Special Strat body, that ended up being really, REALLY off.
I tried to bolt on a decent MIM Fender strat neck, but it was just miserable sitting on the body because the neck holes had not been drilled properly and I did not want to screw up the neck.
I remembered that I had this old Teisco neck that hbombgraphics had given me a while ago, which I didn't mind drilling new holes into to get it to seat properly onto the body.
The pickups are cheap GFS hot strat pickups and they kind of suck really bad. I just hate strat pickups though. Accidentally killed the neck pickup while routing out the neck pocket a little for the neck's trussrod. The tailpiece is a Pbass bridge turned backwards with holes drilled into it. The bridge is a Teisco roller bridge. The neck is very tall, so the pickups are jacked up as far as they can go to get close to the strings. Currently has a piece of perfboard as the nut cause I haven't bought a brass nut yet. Need to sort out some grounding issues, and I think I might switch up the wiring a little and swap that dead neck pickup out.

Awesome Charvel tuning machines, skully.
That whole thing's amazing (especially the perfboard nut). Needs different pickups, but still totally bitchin'.

Thanks Chanks. Those tuners are from Hbomb as well!
Trying to figure out the pickup situation. I kind of want to get a single bridge humbucker guard and put something like a Lace Dirty Hesher in the bridge, but then the pickup would cost more than the guitar

Hahaha yeah, neck and tuners were free, nut was free. Pickguard was $10, Body was $25, strap pegs were $3-4, knobs were $3ish, pots were $6, jack was $2, neckplate was $6, pickups were $45?

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Took this one while trying to make new avatar, and I can't be bothered to take another...

The neck pickup route is covered with tape until I can find a sticker or something to put there. Took out the Surf 90s, put in a bridge humbucker I had laying around (possibly even the same one that came in it originally, idk). Sounds pretty awesome, but truss rod needs a little tweaking. Having some minor issues getting the relief right.

New junker/project guitar. After all the snags I ran into trying to build this one, amazingly, I barely had to set it up once I put the strings on.
