I have been thinking more and more that I should sell my CIJ Jaguar. It is my childhood fantasy guitar, but I don't like how it sounds half the time, and the neck is uncomfortable to play now. I do feel I'll regret selling it, so it stays in its case in the closet, coming out when I need a thin sounding bridge and a dark neck tones.

I sold my Dan Armstrong ADA6 that I had since my senior year of high school around this time last year. I was stupid broke and the guitar pretty much needed a refret because it was my main axe for 5 years so I figured might as well sell it to someone that has the money for maintaining such a rare guitar. I was also getting over my Greg Ginn, Justin Trosper, and Graham Clise worship. Every now and then I do wish I still had it to play 60's rock but then I realize my Les Paul is more versatile and doesn't sound like plastic. It was the only guitar that I ever owned for more than a year until this October, which will mark two years of owning my LP Special.

I just sold the guitar in question today and I don't regret it. I hadn't taken it out of its case since I got the reverend and when I played it a bit before the guy came over, I was totally convinced that it wasn't for me anymore. I had a lot of great times with it!

Good to hear. Things change… and there're always more guitars.

My 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom, Tobacco Burst. I got it when I had the money, for a good price, it was a player to begin with, but still a good price. I probably had it for 8 years or so.

I needed money and figured I'd just get a cheap guitar and make it work. I've since acquired an 80s MIJ Aria LP that is nice, and an LTD baritone but I really miss that fucking guitar.

I sold it to a guy I had bought/traded pedals from in the past. Super nice guy, collects lots of choice guitars/amps and I knew he'd appreciate it. He held onto it for a long time and I think got tired of it but held onto it cause I told him I might want to buy it back. Could never get the money together though and he eventually sold it. Some local lady bought it, and if she still has it, it is still in the vicinity.

Was a great guitar and I've found many recordings I've done and it just sounds so good. Wish I could get it back.

Recently sold my second guitar, but my first real nice guitar. It was a'71 fender competition mustang. I begged my mom for one after seeing that one nirvana video when I was 9. She actually ended up hunting one down pre interwebz and paid $399 for it in '92

Anyways bought a farm/house recently and needed a good jump start and that was the first thing to go. Don't regret it a bit, never played it cause it was minty and was always to scared I'd ding it up.

In return I made a great investment in the future for myself and my family. I can also finally turn my amps up past "2" finally.

Sold my RS Guitarworks tele today. Had it for 3-4 years. Not long for a lot of people, but it was for me. I will miss its awesome neck, but that thing was fucking heavy. Like playing a construction beam.

I just sold my first guitar yesterday (LTD MH400 - super strat with a floyd rose). God I had really started to hate that guitar... no remorse here. The floyd rose was way too much for a first guitar, and it had EMG's. I mean it was a nice enough guitar, I recorded two little death metal EP's with it, and I had it for probably over 10 years... just not for me anymore. A few years back I picked up a hard tail schecterto replace the LTD, and installed Seymour Duncan Nazgul / Sentient pups in it. MUCH more usable for me.

My first guitar was a Mansfield (cheap).
I sold it and got a Washburn RS-8V that I had for many years (more than 12 years I think).
Sold the Washburn... no regret my taste has changed (EMG and Floyd Rose not for me anymore).
Got a PRS CE-22 used (I think I had it 10 years)... I liked how it play, but didn't like the look anymore.
Got a Telecaster... I don't think I'll keep it 10 years. ;)
