So I'm thinking of just getting more of a straight up octave pedal instead of an octave fuzz and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I'm looking to spend up to 150$. Right, I'm thinking I might be able to snatch up a Micro Pog for that price and have also thought about maybe just getting a Whammy IV for those Jack White sounds and some more. Any other great octave pedals you would suggest?

The Pearl OC-7 is a rare beast but a good one if you can get it... I think your best option for straight out octaves is going to be the micro pog if you can pick one up for that price. I hear many horrible things about the Whammy but I think it would probably be more fun though.

Eh, I'd stay away from it. All the ones I've played have been glitch city, worse than the OC-2... almost as bad as a blue box, but not as cool.

I've got one... it's decent, depending on your usage. The 'Poly' function works pretty well, to be honest... Pretty good tracking.

Yeah in Poly mode, it very rarely glitches. That's the only mode I used when I had one.

I'm biased, but I'd suggest saving up for a POG2. It's so worth the wait. Up to 2 octaves down, 2 octaves up, detune, Q, tone and attack controls, and it tracks like a dream. The tone and Q controls are crucial, because the 100% straight-up octave up can be pretty harsh without some tweaks. But with those, you should be able to dial in a really great sound.

Agreed. The POG2 is a pedal I can't imagine ever turning off, if only for some subtle octave down.
And has anyone noticed that a MicroPOG, up and down maxed and dry at zero, makes any fuzz sound more awesome?
