I wish they'd reissue these things (even if they did it SS -- but I don't see why they'd need to do that). I mean they resissued the speaker sim "microcab" portion
I actually tend to run them "up front" as a preamp, not in the preamp->Poweramp (ampulator) configuration they were sort of meant for (the typical A/DA use case was MP-1 into ampulator)

Always wanted one of those. I think the world would have to go back to preamps in a big way for that to come back as a commercial product, though, unless sold as a studio distortion/warmer/enhancer device to run anything through--drums, vocals, synths. I'm not sure how well that use would pan out, but there's no appreciable market now, and I don't remember those going like hotcakes in the day.

Im really not sure how long it was after their introduction that ada burned down
We still use preamps though... some people call them "pedals" -(Ada's resurrection actually includes a preamp pedal and a microcab style spk sim in roughly pedal format)
That's just enclosure specs
I wouldn't mnd just seeing them take some of the ideas (say, hum injection or bias level defining operating mode) and implementing them SS if needed (though it's just 12ax7 based so it's not like floor format isn't a possibility)
but it's certainly not your average ox

I suspect this type of thing is essentially obsoleted by modelling tech in the industry's minds.
Only contemporary thing I know of is something like the various Torpedo devices. It's digital as well.
