Prurient

Post by Faldoe »

Hung out with my old roommate and he mentioned Godflesh is touring. I looked up today to see who they're playing with and came across Prurient. Very sick stuff and right up my alley. Thought some of y'all might like it as well (though I'm sure many may already be familiar).

I got the "Time's Arrow" single in a Hyrda Head grab bag, really dug it even though its only 4 tracks or so. Been meaning to get some more of their (his?) stuff. I know there are others here that are fans.

Not really what I was imagining this would sound like given the stuff that I've read -=- is that track indicative of the current Prurient sounds?

If you're referring to the YouTube vid above, that's not by Prurient, but rather a song by Crosses titled "prurient". Don't know if they're related. Crosses is a side project by the singer of the Deftones.

Haven't heard the entire album yet but disc one of the new double record "Frozen Niagra Falls" is excellent. More ambient and creepy synth action than I remember from older Prurient.
