you had franklin's? some ad agency peeps made a big deal about getting franklin's when i was there so I had a production assistant sit there for two hours to get us the goods. It was good but I don't remember how good. I always loved salt lick.sonidero wrote:Has to have that smoke ring and no sauce...

Re: Devi Ever here. Ask me anything.
I thought the question about "why call the company Effector 13?" (why not call it something else?) was a good question, and one I wanted to ask myself.
If you really want to start over, why not pick a new name? Using Effector 13 is like trying to jump back on the merry-go-round in the exact same place you jumped off - as if nothing has changed. I don't think that's true. Further, if you felt confident about your place in the industry, maybe you wouldn't feel like you need to retain the previous name (resting on your laurels, so to speak).
There have been so many name changes of the pedals (didn't some pedals have like four different names?) and seemingly lots of overlap of functions (this one is a squelchy fuzz, that one is a fuzz which is squelchy). I saw the chart you made of pedal names and descriptions (like 6 squelchy fuzzes, 4 octave up fuzzes, etc). I've been reading these forums forever - I couldn't tell you what a "33" is (terrible name) or what the difference between a Soda Meiser and a Soda Might is. Wouldn't it be better from a branding standpoint to start over with new names and a cohesive (coherent?) business plan?
Also, if you sell 6 different glitch fuzzes, it suggests to me that you aren't able to come up with a definitive version of that circuit, one that even you find satisfactory.
Why do I care? I don't really care, it's just something to talk about. I've never bought one of your pedals because I didn't want to have to research WTF the difference was between all those different pedals. It looked like a tough slog to make sense of it all. But since you want to talk, why not start over with a new corporate identity?

All I can say is since Devi has been back, I haven't laughed as hard as I have the last few days. I think it just induced an acid flashback. I love a good flashback. So thanks and welcome back Devi. Please keep the laughs coming.
