I'll one up them all. I think you're mentally ill, a thief, and a liar. I also think you don't understand libel.

I have a [fund-raiser] where a lot of really incredible supportive people have been enjoying my art, music, and video games: [link removed]

For a while there I was doing a lot of freelance pixel art work.

I also have done some cam work in the past... looking forward to that again in the future. :D

.... and also I have a lot of people who have been investing in my work behind the scenes.

It's a weird wacky world being an indie game developer, musician, and artist! :D

It sounds like you are doing what you love with art and music and that is great. How many of us would kill to be doing something we actually love everyday? But, as I am sure you have found out, this type of freelance/entrepreneurial artsy work can be unsteady. Have you considered taking a regular "9-5" job outside of these fields of interest to pay your bills/pay people back? I understand this type of work would suck for you especially since you are an artist and entrepreneur and have been your own boss and come and go as you please. But sometimes people must do things they don't particularly enjoy in order to support themselves and pay their bills/debts etc.

Lastly, can you lick your ear?
You hit the nail on the head... I am doing what I love and that's all that matters. :D

I would gladly lick my ear for you if I could. :D

After my facial surgery.

That part of my transition really did my head in.

But it was a few really wonderful conversations about my love of art and creativity as well as my original intent with starting Effector 13.... along with returning to Portland visiting guitar shops again.... it just all came flooding back and I remembered why I loved building pedals in the first place.

It was never about the money, fame, fans or anything petty like that.

It was about the thrill of the sound.... searching, yearning, exploring and fucking rocking out man.

Where I fucked up was when I started playing it safe and worrying about the pedal biz as a biz and where it sat in the greater "whole" of the industry.

I started being miserable the moment I was more concerned with appealing to the masses rather than doing what came naturally.

The Console was a peak expression of that. It was me trying to tap into the mainstream (in my own weird way) rather than just doing my thang.
