i like this post. Best of the whole thread.
Cats are simultaneously the best and the worst.
My cat is a bitch. But still cuddly on these "cold" winter nights.

If E13 is in direct competition with DeviCraft, it takes a portion of the market and cuts into potential sales for DeviCraft which results in losing money. Under normal circumstances this is just the way the market works, but Devi has made an agreement not to enter the same market in exchange for a monetary payout included in the sale of her brand that she has already received. If she had refused to sign a non-competition agreement initially, her brand would have been worth much less money.
That was an excellent summary. Thank you kindly.

Yo Summit...you should get camera's in your pace and stream the ILFNEM on youtube...

BTW...I love how this thread has turned out...
My wife and I used to hit the video store and rent everything in the B-grade horror section. It was fucking rad.
Then we'd sort of get bored and start making out halfway through (we were teenagers).
Video fucking rocks.
But to fight over a movie. That's a "get the fuck out" signal.
Dodgin those bullets, man. :thumb:

 no. Watch the movie and you tell me what my complaint is. It's just something that gets real annoying after a while.

This is pretty much standard noncompete issues. There's also the lingering issues before this of large parts of the pedal market not understanding that DEFX is no longer the person once and now again known as Devi. Ben and Louise have worked their asses off rebuilding the brand. If there is a failed E13 Kickstarter or some similar issue of money taken without delivering pedals, do you think that isn't gonna hurt DEFX? Too many people won't know better. This is why some of this shit is actionable without a noncompete in place--because it costs people money. It's all "fuck big business" until it's your own pocket being picked.

My favorite late-night double feature was "The Road Warrior" and "Floyd at Pompeii" in the late 80s, on the off occasions where they'd give the Rocky and the Wall a night off on a weekend midnight show.
