The article was about how metal is more popular than pop now on Spotify!
The inverted cross and blank-sclera-eyes thing is kindof an Odd Future thing, though
Yaaass that was the image atop a Kim Kelly article that got plastered everywhere today. Grim Kim is rad.
Pretty sure the imagery is kind of a classic black metal/corpsepaint-y thing. I liked the Earl EP a lot, though. Odd Future has their moments.

Earl is a real lyricist, eh? From a literary standpoint he blows most rappers out of the water. Even Kendrick Lamar recently said that that's who he listens to and appreciates in contemporary hip-hop. There are lines on Doris that have like six or seven different wordplays and meanings! Tyler's good, too. And Frank.

Yeah Earl is great. If we're talking rappers I don't listen to much Kendrick because he reminds me of Bob Dylan vocally, there's nothing more vibe-killing than picturing Bob going "goddamn I got bitches" etc. Schoolboy Q is probably my favorite from that group of guys, and that's mostly because of the piano hook on There He Go although Oxymoron was a fun record.
I don't really pay attention to modern rappers, although I tend to like what I hear when I do. I haven't kept up Tyler's output, and I don't listen to Frank Ocean at all. They always have nice beats, though.

I love Kendrick... To Pimp A Butterfly is so much all at once, I'll be processing it for years. Never noticed the Bob Dylan thing! Very true!
TBH Bob Dylan probably does have a few bitches
Iconucci... I totally did the fan thing and gave you the whole rundown. Sorry.
You wanted one track. This is not really an ILF track. It's acoustic and not really representative of the band's sound. But... it is routinely cited by fans as being the best BN song. It's called "Play Crack The Sky." If I had a dime for every scene kid I've met IRL with a tattoo of lyrics from this song, I'd have forty cents LOL

Yeah even I, the avowed fan of Refused, would go see Wire instead.
Although either show would be a good show.
But I mean... it's fucking Wire.
There's something strange going on tonight...
There's something going on that's not quite right...
Joey's nervous and the lights are bright...
God, how I wish I had the luxury of choosing which awesome band to go see tomorrow night.

I'll be "down south" (you know, as opposed to Santa's Workshop) for one month, specifically, July.
I may be able to see Death Grips, mewithoutYou, Run The Jewels, or Motion City Soundtrack. No promises on any of these.
