You might have a point about the switching.

If you don't think you'll use the strangle, go for it. I didn't think I would use it, but its actually a lot of fun. Hit the bridge pickup and the strangle, kick on some dirt, and make ears bleed with grindy treble.

I just got that same bass vi and it has been the best purchase I've ever made in my short musical life. So many possibilities for crazy sounds. And PHAT bass lines.
