Anyone ever try an eq before a pitch shifter?

Not that I have any funds left to spend on peds, but for some reason I came up with this idea that all I know is the oldest trick in the book...
So I figured I'd check with guy guys

Guitar/Baritone/Bass into:
A/B/Y box Output 1-> MXR 10-band EQ -> EHX Pitch Fork -> Galien Krueger/ampeg Bass rig.
A/B/Y box Output2-> '70s Traynor YBA-1 with 4x12 Marshall cab.

I'm about to throw a second board together, for a somewhat menacing noise/sludge band, with just me and a drummer.
Like I said, this is purely hypothetical for now, I'd have to sell a ton of stuff before I can even think of actually buying the eq and picth fork. Not to mension the band is still kinda non existant, as in there's been a couple jams that were really promising/inspiring, but no actual song ideas or anything yet.

Suggestions on where in the chain to put fuzz/dist and delay in that chain would be welcome too.
The rest of the board should be pretty compact and basic, with just a volume pedal, tuner, ditto looper, one delay, one or two dirt pedals.

Not even sure yet, I just figured it might be cool to blend in a faux bass guitar version of my riffs into my guitar sound. And/or I could use the a/b switch to alternate between the bass amp or guitar amp. Or I could just switch to the bass side when I'm on my baritone or bass, and only use the output to the guitar amp when Im playing guitar.

At least one of those options should sound decent, right?

I thought it's worth trying a couple things out to solve the lack of more instruments. Just using a big loud amp with a gnarly fuzz box or two isnt always enough imo. Even if its just for the sake of bringing changes and dynamics in a set, a pitch shifter with different chains/amps seems like a good addition to my regular set-up.

They run a bit more, but it sounds like a crossover/mix pedal might be your alley. Maybe something like this?

If that's what you're going for, I'd probably run the EQ after the pitch shift if needed - use the A/B/Y as pure splitter, and the EQ as needed (if at all).

If you're going to run a dedicated amp, you can EQ it pretty damn radically so I'd wait to see if you even required it before going down that road.

EQ is a great thing to have on tap, don't get me wrong, but in effect, that amp is already going to be its own EQ!

I'm not even sure this makes any sense at all, but I was thinking that the EQ could maybe somewhat isolate the lows or highs, so the pitch shifter could do weird things with what I put into it

Can test it to be sure on what I have here, but historically I haven't noticed a 'pitchshift-related' change based on EQ to be honest.
