I've admired every Chase Bliss pedal so far, but this is the first one that I feel (extremely) tempted to get.

I really want the warped Vinyl, but only as a vibrato, I'm not chorus Dude.

Re: Chase Bliss Audio Gravitas (analog trem)
i had one for a few months last summer and that was the reason i sold it (as well as it being generally too dark, not a problem anymore with the mkII). while i don't hate chorus anymore, i was like woah i only want this for really slow vibrato, i can get the desired results using other pedals.Inconuucl wrote:I really want the warped Vinyl, but only as a vibrato, I'm not chorus Dude.
that being said, you should get one and see if you like it. it's literally the best sounding pedal i've ever had.

It is a little dark. That's why I'm upgrading to a V2.
And dude, you can do so much more than just a vibrato. I have 3 different presets, none of which are chorus.
I have a rhythmic vibrato (square into triangle wave, ramping the rpm and the wave to make rhythmic patterns), sine wave vibrato with ramp on the wave to give it some subtle variety, and then a square wave vibrato at the fastest speed possible for ring mod-ish sounds

I made a promise and I kept it. I was so impressed by Joel as a human being that I said I would buy a Chase Bliss pedal as soon as I was gainfully employed. I got a paycheck, I purchased a Warped Vinyl Mk. II. I have to wait one more day for it, but I know it will be worth it. Mmmmmmmm vinyl-y.

Re: Chase Bliss Audio Gravitas (analog trem)
When this was announced, I was (regrettably) almost a little dismissive. In a band context my other guitarist is the trem guy, and in my own recordings I tend to default to using any of the million stuttery Max patches I "built" (downloaded) when I was trying to learn that fucker.
In the time that's passed however, I have grown super into this, and I'm gonna move some shit for one soon. Such a wicked pedal. SO much more than the "trem" that I wrongly assumed and dismissed in my ignorance. I totally failed to just think about it for a second and fully comprehend the abilities that volume/freq modulation would have in Joel's sick format.
I'm ready. SO keen to add this.
