Well, that was disappointing. Mission failed. They had two pedals (TWO!) and I was third in line.
I got there early, before they even opened the doors, got my stamp and waited around downstairs for the doors to open. By the time I went back up the stairs there were four people ahead of me. "No problem," I thought. "Even if they all want a Wata Fuzz I should be okay." Headed straight for the merch table when I got inside. Cash only but I had enough on me to cover it. One guy in front of me bought a pedal, leaving one box on the table. But somebody at the venue or on the crew had already claimed it and the merch girl pulled the box away as I went for it. She said she was only given two. I told her I was on a mission of international importance and either because she was kindhearted or recognised the look of utter despair on my face she said she'd ask the tour manager if they had any more pedals. I waited while she went and spoke to him but no joy. He took one look at me and said that was it.
I was so bummed I couldn't even enjoy the show. I left before they finished.
If anyone else is going to the next Sydney show or any of the other shows, maybe you can help UglyCasanova out. Just make sure you're first in the fucking line (as I would have been had they opened the fucking doors when I got there).
HorseyBoy was right behind the last person who got one. He really went for it though, and I couldn't be more happy with his efforts in trying to aquire me one.
I think MASF should be putting them into regular production. They would probably sell a lot more units. More than what would sell at Boris shows. Everyone wins
Edit. Maybe if everyone on ILF that wanted one would send an email to MASF everyday, they might get sick of the constant emails and relent and put it into production.
