Hey look!
V2 is here!

And here I am, thinking about getting it again, even though the GB24 prevailed over my Ct5.

Scott, which of the firmware changes you referred to earlier in the thread are going to be on this? With the Q switch obviously it will be possible to change Quantization in any mode, what about all the other stuff? Saving loops through mode changes, saving Q setting through power down etc.
Am I correct in assuming there will be no difference in the sound? Or will there be any filtering going on?

Got-tam! Looks exciting and great!

I thought for sure my bank account would've started to slowly fill back up
by this point in the summer. Ugly feeling when $50 is a stretch.

The new Q switch is momentary, it always returns to center, so you flick through a list of q modes, therefore not limited to 3. don;t worry it is the same capability wise as the first version/can have more than 3 q modes/the method from either version lends itself to this situation.

Okay, so this is where I am confused. Do you still have to be in mode 1 to change quantization in the new version? If so then I guess I can understand what you're saying, but if you can change them in any mode in the new version then I'd probably want that one. I'm not trying to rag on you, it's just that changing q modes more easily was one of my main wishes. :idk:

yes on the new version the q switch works at any time.

goosekevin wrote:the firm update will save the quantisation with power off and whatnot yeah? if it does im sweet with my older one.
but maybe....two pedals is better than one......

yes we will release the new firm when these start shipping. it will save the mode when you power down on both versions.

The Q setting will be saved. I'm not sure if the "transcendental sample" firmware will be released at the same time or not.

It is more or less the same circuit, so the sound is about the same. There was some adjustment to make it smoother but i have not a/b'd them yet, so i cannot say if it did much to change anything. Any improvements would be minor.

Maybe check your spam? This is the first time I have used an automated mail list, but it seems from the stats that most people got the email. It should come form mtl.asm@gmail.com. You can sign up again to the list at http://eepurl.com/beoQ0r or you can email me directly and i can add you manually if you don't think it worked.

We will also release the gb24 kits soon too, but there is a lot going on at the moment and it has been de-prioritized until i can find some one to babysit the orders, which may happen in June sometime.

I use "we" to refer to the idea of the company i suppose. However, it is true that there are other people involved at different times. During the last run there were as many as 4 of us. We will expand again to fill these orders no doubt. I am working a lot also with another programmer though, and there will be something coming out this summer that is hardware i made for his software, I'm not sure if it will be under mtl.asm or not, but it seems likely at this point. So in that sense there is also a "we".

If nothing else in the same vein comes out of the camp then yes, there will be more runs of these. If it's not available/discontinued it will be because it has been superseded in some logical way though, ie something similar but better is available, like how i don't make gb24 anymore etc.

I've been really happy to see the mtl.asm project flourish. I love your ideas and I'm gladdened to see the whole thing so successful, so far.
