So... like... is Emperor ever NOT going to be restructuring?

It's been two years.

Now... before you get all up in my grill about this... I know, I know, you don't think Emperor is that great.

You still can't get over that time an Emperor intern who is, for all we know, now long dead tweeted a disparaging remark about Jim Marshall.

And I know about all the sweet Emperor-style cabs out there... Atlas, Dominion, Worshipper, Old Crow, Mammoth, etc., etc.

I am simply curious: do you ever think they will be a company again?

Because I admit, I want some Emperor cabs, solely to be as metal as my heroes, who play Emperor cabs.

I know this is stupid. But I am a grown man, and, as a Selena Gomez song I recently overheard insisted, "The heart wants what the heart wants."

EDIT: And while we're on it, what the fuck happened to Monolith cabs?

I found Wade on Facebook, messaged him, he never got back to me.

All traces of the company having ever existed have been expunged from teh Interwebs, the one exception being an old Verellen product catalogue from 2011, and the business' name as registered in several businessy-type registration thingies.

The dude who came up with/holds the copyright to the name got out of the business. If I remember rightly it was kind of messy, hence the name changes.

As for monolith; I think dude got in over his head and people got screwed over.

From what I remember reading there were serious quality control problems with that preamp he made, but he wound up taking new orders to pay for repairs(?) and ultimately a few people wound up not getting anything at all, even though he took their money.

Yeah they truly fucked themselves over with the Marshall comment... I think for a lot of people, it was all they could think about for a while, when they thought of Emperor.

Re: Monolith and divorce, my research led me to their address in Portland (it was actually shocking, how easy that was to find, the Internet is a creepy place!), and it was apparent that his wife was making and selling handbags with a business registered at the same address... which went under at the exact same time, circa 2012. Sad.

I have heard that the Atlas dude is some spoiled rich kid, but that sounds way too mean to be true. The cabs look awesome, that's for sure.

They said something to the effect of, "Just so you know... Jim Marshall was a drummer... copied some Fender circuits across the pond back in the day... now he's dead... (insert foghorn noise here)." It was on the day he died. An intern posted it without the company's knowledge, but even after they deleted it, they never apologized.

It was particularly vile coming from a company that essentially makes beefed-up Marshall cabinets. No one was impressed.
