I'm dropping my wood shop class (for reasons I'll keep to myself). So there won't be any new pictures for a while until i can arrange private lessons.

It's too bad you couldn't get it routed out before you dropped the class... is there any way you can get in there after hours a couple nights while nobody is around? It shouldn't take more than a couple hrs to get her ready for electronics and to cut the string holes. :idk:

Yeah, but they cost money and being a brokeass, I'm always on the lookout for cheap/free ways to get things done.

I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread for a bit, Kellanium but I figured that since your project is on hold for a bit that it'd be alright.
You got me wanting to work on my own ever-evolving tele project, so I went and bought a lipstick pup and mini-humbucker and installed them into my guitar, which has been an esquire-style tele for about a year and a half. Before that, it was just a run of the mill tele that I put together, with a skinny Squier neck. This is the guitar that I do all my wiring experiments on. Here are a few pics:

Esquire:

Neck cavity done, with mini-humbucker waiting patiently.

Close up of my shoddy work:

Pickguard cut, pups installed and wired:

It went pretty well, except that I didn't realize that the mini had "feet", which means that the depth of the neck cavity needs to be about 1/4" deeper than the actual pickup casing.

So for now, the mini sits tilted toward the bridge... it doesn't sound too bad, though. Just excessively loud.
