New (?) Gator Pedalboards

Have these been around long? I think they look stylish and functional!

The pedal train stuff is too heavy/bulky. These look like they're lighter, and hopefully not as elevated at the back.

So they are, andI just ordered one. Just to be anal retentive, here's the comparative stats:

PT Classic 2:

3.4 pounds
$150.00

Gator:
24x10.5
9 pounds
$150 (seems to be the price on the net).

I have the small one. Quite like it. The pedal power bracket is better and easy to use. Seems pretty sturdy.

To be fair, upon further research, I think the weight listed for the Gator is with the case/bag and the PT is without.

I have the small Gator which you can mount a PP2+ underneath, where you can't on the small Pedaltrains. Plus, I've never owned a Pedaltrain but I have looked at them and the Gator bag seems more durable.

If I'd seen the ILF thread on modding your Pedaltrain to accept the PP2+ I might have gotten the Pedaltrain since it is kind of nicer looking.

The power cords from my dc-10 are just like spaghetti on my cnb pedal board. Looking foreword to cleaning that all up. I'll post a pic when it's done

I'm not a fan of those bags...At all. My pedals cost me about as much as my guitar, and I haul my guitar around in a hardcase as well. I just don't like taking any risk when it comes to my gear. It's not like a medium sized board + case weighs THAT much, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to not go with a simple hardcase/suitcase/whatever instead of something that can only be used to safely move your board from your bedroom to your living room...

The bag I'm indifferent to. I'm interested in the board. If I was touring (which I never will be) I would get a hard case for it. As it stands the bag will be fine to cart my ($1000+) pedals from rehearsal studios to bar gigs. But, none of this has any bearing on the board itself
