Too many choices, so much GAS

Well ever since posting a topic on favourite current pedals I've now got too many pedals I want and trying to decide between them all. Anyway, wanted to get some opinions on these and which ones people would pick:

Weird and Versatile
BitQuest vs CT5 (pretty sure I'll get both since there's a wait for the CT5)

OD
Fuck vs Mini vs Fairfield Barbershop

Reverb
Mini Reverberator vs Procession vs Flint

Feel free to throw in some other choices as well.

if I was gonna pick one from each category I would go mini, RRR, and Bitquest. That would get the most bang for your (many) bucks.

Well, I guess like a lot of people on here I'm looking to change things up a bit. Got a good foundation with my guitars/amps, now looking to expand the palette with the fx I have. It probably started with getting the Black Fountain delay, and going to a recent pedal clinic put on my Juan Alderete. I started experimenting more, so I want to add some new colours and dimensions.

In saying that, I love how the Bitquest and CT5 are almost like several pedals in one, giving me all sorts of sounds to work with. I've been playing your stock standard ODs for a while (KTR, Hot Cake, Speaker Cranker, Demon) and like the Fairfield for its Sag control, but the mini and fuck seem to get a lot of love here and I'll be honest I'd never even heard of all those 2 weeks ago. I used to check out TDPRI and TGP before finding ILF a little while back, and those places came up with the same old same old all the time.

As for reverb, well I've typically just used the reverb on my amp, but after seeing a demo of the procession it got me thinking onboard reverb while good tends to be one dimensional.

I own and use (all on my board) the BitQuest, mini reverberator, ct5 and fuck OD from your list. If I had to pick one it would be the BitQuest

Delay, verb, modulation, pitch shift, filters, bit crusher etc. Three parameters for each mode + tone/mix/volume knobs, all highly tweakable. Let's you add soooo much (great sounding) dirt to any mode you like, and it's loud as fuck. Works great all over your board (depending on setting). Small enclosure. Really cheap considering all you get. Ryan is a cool cat.

The only downside is that there are so many settings, it can be a bit overwhelming at first. And they all sound amazing, so you'll want another one. I'd rock a pedalboard filled with just BQ's...actually, I'd love to. GAS!

My GAS has been blooming up last few days. But now it's decided: a CT5 soon, and a BQ for my birthday

Well I'm convinced! Just bought a BitQuest online, can't wait to put it on my board. Definitely sold on the CT5 as well, so just waiting for more of those to be built.

Next weekend I'm going to head to my local shop and demo the Fuck and Barbershop to see which one I like best. Might also demo the Flint and mini reverberator.

If you're getting the Bit you have to try an RRR... It's the best pre dirt verb ever, and also post or pre and post like me... The Mini is outstanding at what it does and is and how it stacks with everything like a big ol plate of fuzzy griddle cakes that make ya go mmm...

What's up with that Juan pedal thing??? What was he playing??? Have you seen our old pal Aen in Dwarfcraft down there makin vids with Juan???

Juan is awesome. In his clinic he demos pedals for Earthquaker Devices. He had a giant board with all Earthquaker pedals and was showing how each worked and putting a few together. He does it all using his bass (he is a bass player after all) but that just added a cool new dimension to the whole thing. He also talked about other stuff, like his time with the Mars Volta. Really awesome guy, and has a great website pedalsandeffects.com where he demos and reviews all sorts of stuff.

Bit quest is definitely way up on my short list of pedals I'm looking hard at. Mostly because I'm really happy with my pedalboard, but I know adding one of those adds loads of new options in a tiny package, you just need to get used to it. It does so many things I like but would never lug around a bunch of effects just for one little sound each.
