Not that much if I remember correctly. Just a little bump, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

only a slight volume bump but there will be a pop when you click it.

Hmmm. I think I would peep the stock one again before I went making changes. It's perfect as is from what I remember.

By the time you're back home I should be able to order mine. :!!!:

OK, I know the post literally right above this one said I was just going to order a stock Buzzz, but looking at that new EQD Fuzzmaster General has me thinking...

Have you ever tried bypassing the clipping diodes on the Buzzz? The FMG has a no diodes option and it gets a clean-ish ring mod type octave with it. I like the tones from that setting a lot, but I still would rather have a Buzzz.

Would this be possible in the Buzzz circuit? Would it have a similar effect, or are the circuits too different? I know they're both based on some kind of super fuzz variant.

the silicon clipping option on the buzzz uses zener diodes which have a high clipping theshold, allowing for those cleaner tones. i can add a no-diode option easily - the volume boost is pretty extreme though and when you engage the octave you also get bit volume spikes because you lack the diode compression that evens things out. i tried a few things out originally and the zeners provided the best balance.

That's cool. I think the volume thing might be a problem with the FMG too. I don't know why I would ever want clean sounds though

Got a Buzzz; it is my favorite Superfuzz pedal. That is all.

Give me a week or so. I just ordered one today. My second one. I stupidly flipped the first one.

So can the buzzz just do thick fuzz without any octave? All the demos I've heard make it sound like there's always some octave/mangling going on.

Oh yeah. The octave is footswitchable and there's definitely a difference when its on or off. And its definitely thick. There can be a good bit of top end but it can be dialed out.

I love the buzzz, but the octave/scoop switching scheme still confuses me. I are stooopid.
