Favourite pedal lately

Post by Adelbatross »

I'm new to ilovefuzz, after spending a little too long with the geezers at TDPRI and TGP. Wondering what everyone's favourite pedals are these days. Doesn't really matter if they're newer pedals, or old classics.

Lately I've been loving the Old Blood Noise Endeavours Black Fountain delay. It's just such a lush delay with so many different sounds and options. I love what the guys at Old Blood are doing these days, and can't wait for the Procession to hit Australia. It seems like every time I turn on the Black Fountain I either some up with something new, or just end up noodling for hours. Can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a cool new delay.

Now I'm on the hunt for something weird and wild. I've been looking at the stuff from Red Panda like the Particle. Although I have probably too many dirt boxes these days, thinking about getting a new OD as well. I've also been tossing up the idea of getting a Stymon Flint, it seems to be a lot of people's favourite non-dirt box, but can't say it's overly "wild" but does what it does really well from what I can tell.

I mean, the Ct5 is rad (even though I haven't had a chance to really dive into modes 2 and 3 yet). Small Echo Array is very quickly becoming a desert island effect.
good deals are here.

MWFX Judder is getting used on everything, JoMoX T-Resonator too. On guitar the Seppuku Dynamic Ecco Modulator is really inspiring.

SS/BS Fuck. I think I have it on 90% of the time. It has pretty much become my clean sound.

Still my Timebender. Found some new settings (had it for almost 2 years now) and it makes me love it even more. Also the DBA echo dream gets a lot of use. The wet mode with the fuzz all the way up makes me cream myself

EQD Zap Machine = it has become my clean sound
Basic Audio Wildcat = trashy garage fuzz with an oh so unmusical decay when you have the gain down. magical
SSBS Hawk = also trashy. glitchy. strange. beautiful
Boss DM-2W = delay perfection. never-ending honeymoon. I put two analog maxons up for sale.
EQD Afterneath = a thing of beauty. not the easiest bronco to tame, but sick when you do.
Check out the womansuit. Lots of fuzz.

Long time favorite: 95'-97' Rat 2's w/ white pcb's, those seem extra grindy to my ears.

New favorite: Industrialectric rm-1n, popular amongst ilfer's for good reason.

Looking forward to favorite: Dr. Scientist heisenberg, anything in reference to breaking bad is cool in my book.

I love my Black Fountain, too.

But, my favorite, right now, is BitQuest!

Koma Elektronik BD-101. Still haven't tried the Low-Pass filter or any of the gates/cycle stuff, but I was very very impressed with my short amount of time with it yesterday.

Nice to see some love for the Wildcat. Also one of my favourite fuzz pedals. I love it with both the gain up and the gain down. :D

I've been abusing the hell out of my Ampeg Scrambler clone again, I go through periods where it doesn't fit, then it does again like magic.

Not fashionable but a criminally overlooked box.

Falling back in love my RE-20 real hard. I was so used to using it for high feedback washed out delay that I forgot how much fun its multitap is with slapback settings.
