Anyone else like this band? Kind of a hipster thing and they got way overhyped last year in a lot of places, but their music's actually really good and catchy.
Plus Chris Owens (singer/guitarist) was in some cult until he was 16 which is kinda cool

They're too cool for me.
That and I think there's way better pop acts out there.

I like some of their stuff.
There are some really good lyrics, but they'er not the most original band.
Lust For Life is great.

Re: Girls
These guys are brilliant. Really enjoyed their album last year. I suggest people check out Rough Trade's Indiepop 09 release for moar great jangley guitar pop chooons, that was one of the best releases of last year by far for me. Girls had Morning Light on it, and there were tracks from Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Los Campesinos! and The Manhattan Love Suicides to name but three others.
I really dont like the hipster shit that gets thrown at them/their fans.
