Boards and Cases

Post by tommyrocket »

Hey dudes!

I got a Pedaltrain Jr for my barfday, but it's a soft case one, and i need a hard case. I contacted PT and they don't sell the hard cases as their own item, any recommendations? Or should I just try and trade it in and swap up somewhere?

curious what you recommend to protect your board on the road!

I have been saving up for a custom board from http://www.phantompedalboards.com eventually but this PT will tide me over!

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the size you need, but you can find roadcases that have the same dimensions. Maybe they are originally intended for keyboards or whatever. If it's not a perfect fit, throw some extra foam or padding in there. Look on Ebay for used ones, or buy a new case from Audiopile. Rondo has some road cases too.

If "need a hardcase" can be defined as "need something better than the piece of shit I got with my pedaltrain" check out mono cases. I've gigged mine a fair bit, and Behndy has too. Protects a whole lot better than a regular soft case and is lighter and comfier than a hardcase.

:hello: I might get to build it for you

Also, on a super budget, you could grab an old brief/suitcase and put a piece of foam in the lid if it's too big.

yurpah yurpah. i have 3 Mono bags and a backpack, love those buggers. suuuuuper cool alternative to hard cases for local/driving gigs. would go hard case for flight, but feel safe like this for local.

Thrift store vintage suit case and some ply wood for bracing and high density foam protection inside will get you there on a budget. Might also have some extra space inside for a compartment for cables and shit.
