Thanks i've been having good clean fun running different cv sources with the 669cv, you'll love it when you get a chance to play with your's I REALLY like the frostwave, the most "digital" sounding bitcrusher i think if that makes any sense

I'll try to put something together, they sound killer together
I with it had a bypass at all, it always on if it's in the signal chain. Turn it off and it kills the signal too so it's more of a studio/recording tool.

Hey Hey, so here is a listen to the Endangered Audio Research The Gristleizer. Its quite different from my clone, particularly in VCF mode where it has a mellower tone overall and gets incredibly bass heavy with the bias turned clockwise....like shaking my walls i had to turn down the volume levels of bass. It also seems to resonate on a given frequency depending on where the frequency knob is set which is hella cool and sort of like the Misty Cave. I imagine when i get around to using an expression pedal to control the frequency things will get pretty interesting

I haven't watched the video yet because i'm at work. but does the LFO out go fast enough to be used as a separate sound source?

Also, I just picked up one of those SR16's you used with the frostwave and it's fucking rad. Definitely need to grab some sort of bitcrusher now

I havnt messed with the cv jacks yet, so I'm not sure. I'm not sure I understand your question...the lfo goes insanely fast in normal use.

Congrats on the sr-16, I've had one since I started playing guitar and it's such a useful tool. Once you get to programming your own beats it will open up your musical landscape. Plus it's fun to destroy the signal with fuzz and other effects, especially the WMD Geiger Counter or the Particle. Delays are awesome and glitch effects are really interesting.

I've been using a Volca Beats, but this opens up a ton more doors in regards to programming and actually understanding drum machines. It's definitely been fun to mangle so far and using it in stereo with different effects has been cool

Oh yeah, it oscillates and with the mod in cv you can use different waveforms beyond the four it already has, as I understand it. Plus there is an expression jack that controls the lfo speed with an expression pedal etc. ive only got about an hour spent with it, But I'm so in love with this pedal, it's a different beast from the clone I have.

Hell yeah, and I had no idea it was so feature packed, I didn't expect cv in/out or even an expression jack Dealing With Todd at EAR was real smooth too, he said he's pretty busy but he's getting orders built when placed...I think mine took a week to get sent to me. He's changed the faceplate to go with all black knobs from the red/blue knobs it used to have but said he still had some of the old knobs handy if I preferred and sent photos of what they both would look like. I can't recommend buying from him enough. This seems way more like an instrument compared to the clone I have.

I agree on the different sound. I think I will pick one up at some point. Can't go wrong with that sound. I am glad that EAR is still around and great to work with. Everything they make looks like quality. The CV stuff is an awesome surprise.

I love my HR16. Insanely easy to fix and change the sound chips. It's also very intuitive to program (compared to a few others from the era). I much prefer the Alesis to the Volca (even though most people would think I am crazy).

Yeah it's pretty incredible sounding, and being able to control with an expression pedal and roll in out of resonance is going to be awesome. You should def grab one while he's taking orders His ad4096 delay is a keeper too, it's analogue and beautifully dark with infinite repeats toggle and a stereo out that can be oscillating drones to play over. Awesome build quality is a tank.

I hate the way the EAR stompboxes look, but that tabletop unit looks very nice.
