Have you guys seen the Steam Greenlight game Besiege? I normally balk at paying for alpha/beta access, but this software toy/sandbox looks really entertaining.

Looks really good. I'm going to get it.

A couple of my friends have picked this up and love it.

Darkest Dungeons has also been recommended to me as well. The soundtrack is great:

Just spent a couple hours in Besiege, already fine with the "alpha state" of the game for $7. I can't make a nice steering mechanism, but I'm having fun leaving scorched earth in my wake!

Wow, I don't know how I feel about 'The Evil Within'.

It totally has that B Grade Japanese blood and gore Horror Movie tone, but it really needed a little extra polish - though It doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. People have been ragging on it so I don't even know.

I just got it, I've been playing it these past few nights.
I can confirm that it is indeed, pretty sweet.

My favorite part so far has been moving around the ice stage via that floating statue that spits rainbows.
So much fucking fun.

Of course, as usual, the water-themed level was the most annoying.

I enjoyed what I played, but it got stale quick. I never finished it.

A while back someone posted a cool trailer for an indy action adventure, sort of platformer game. It was top-down view and I thiiiiink you used swords and stuff in it. I think it may have been released by now but I can't remember the name and I thought it might be easier to ask than to dig through the last 8 months of this thread......

:idk:

thanks
:hello:

Edit: It's not Transistor, but it looked similar in game play style.

Yeah, the rainbow statue was a "whoooaaaa..." moment, so awesome.
The flying knight was annoying, I kept getting insta-killed one shot from victory because I was standing right where the cannonballs were about to destroy the level...

Man. FEAR. I knew the ladder thing was gonna happen, but it still got me.
And when you enter the big office building for the first time, that body FLYING through the glass straight into a wall made me laugh my ass off. Good times. I still wimped out and never finished it, though.

Shovel Knight: Tinker Knight's stage bloooooows, but the boss fight's rad...
