the telefunkin gave the treble a new life. its not the slightest harsh anymore just a very very good natural zing.

good deals with Noise. . .guitmatt, magiclawnchair, delaydecay, Fuzz_Pi, nixhex113, theAntihero, Ancient Astronaught, bigchiefbc, jwojtysiak, neonblack, osbornkt

Re: to mod or not to mod?
gonna re open this can of worms...
so I have 2 69 svts
on one traces have already been cut because someone half-assedly modded it to take 12ax7s, its been redone, recapped rebuilt all that good shit.
I have another (also recapped) 69 that's basically in near mint condition, NOS glass (even 6 NOS matched GE 6550s) that's an absolute terror on bass.
my other one is well, not as good on bass but better on guitar. in whiskey's current state of mind he needs one svt for bass, 1 for guitar.
my amp tech is an amazing dude, with an amazing ear and knack at amp repair, and scratch builds.
should I plop him this svt, some sticky and the dopesmoker album and say I want THIS to sound like THAT. ive already ran some kooky ass ideas by him and he's not opposed to doing that kind of work to that 69. so now im kinda like? ehh why not?
what do?

Fuck that. Just get a Hiwatt DR201 if you want more girth, punch, and volume. If you really want to go crazy get a DR405.

Meh, keep it original, and buy some new toys to stick in front of it.
