How do you prevent buffered (modulatn) pedals from clipping?

Yeah, if I end up rehousing this thing to basically do the true bypass when off, I will try such a buffer for the "on" state to see if I can keep it from clipping when placed after gain pedals. Thanks!

You could also try it on front of the drive pedals.

Yeah. Vibrato is a bit subtle when before gain/overdrive.. I like overdrive followed by vibrato. Oh well.

It depends on the pedal in my experience, especially with chorus/vibrato I've really had some mixed results so I can never tell beforehand whether I'm going to like that particular chorus/vibrato better before or after drive but I guess you already tried it and preferred it after in this case (if not for the unwanted clipping).

Yeah, as an example that some modulation pedals work better -- I got an Ibanez CS-9 Chorus in a trade that I was told sounded great after dirt, and it does. No clipping even with a loud fuzz or boost in front of it. Sadly I just never really used it as a chorus when it was on my board, but maybe I should take it out and give it another try.
