What trem arm will fit my vintage 76 mustang?
So I just bought a 76 vintage Fender Mustang, but I don´t know what trem arm to get for it. I would love a link to a good priced one on ebay as well.

alternatively, you could go to a local shop and try some strat arms - I don't use the vibrato on my mustang beyond some light palm movements, but a strat arm fit fine.

Strat arm won't lock in, and lack of thread will cause an issue.
That said, you will also likely need the set screw - almost no vintage/used Mustangs have them still present.
Talk to Allparts or one of the big vendors - the Japanese one *might* work but it might not.

Japanese reissue trem arm won't fit without modification. So your choices are to track down a vintage American trem arm, find a modern trem arm made to vintage size (I believe those exist), or get a Japanese arm and grind the tip down until it fits.

I meant all the variable import/knock-off ones lying about, which worked for me before. Good call on the set screw though - I forgot how most aren't there.rfurtkamp wrote:Strat arm won't lock in, and lack of thread will cause an issue.
