Suped up Tonebender
Is there some crazy awesome suped up Tonebender clone out there that I don't know about? For instance there is the Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder which is kind of like a green Big Muff but a whole lot more. In my opinion it is basically the ideal modern version of the Big Muff (basically what I want a Big Muff to be). Another example would be the Smallsound/Bigsound Buzzz which is like a Superfuzz pushed to it's limits with modern features. (I'm sure there a whole lot more of these kinds of examples, but these are a view I have experience with). Anyways, for some time now, I've tried to find the ultimate Tonebender clone for my needs and granted I haven't been buying/trying every Tonebender around, on paper I don't think I've found the right one yet (nor am I sure it exists). Here is what I'm looking for: 1) something that will work well on bass and guitar (hopefully being able to have too much bass or treble if need be cause that always make it more fun), 2) something that doesn't have a huge footprint (hopefully with top mounted jacks and 9v but this isn't 100% necessary), and 3) something that possibly has a 2nd footswitch like the tone blast on the ECT or the mid-scoop on the Buzzz (I know this one is prolly the most unlikely requirement to be met, but I'm just throwing it out there because it would be fun/nice/useful). So, does something like this exist? I'm open for any suggestions on cool as heck Tonebender clones that meet any of these needs really.

I have one of these.

It's every bit as sick and then some as it sounds in the vid. I have an original bubble font Green Sovtek Muff, a high gain white dot Sun Face, and a BAT LSTR, and the 'Bender is by far the rudest, gnarliest, and most intense of the three.

I have a TAFM actually! Just got it and I think I'm going to love it. Still want to know about Tonebender options though. I'll check out the Fuzz Bear. The Twin Bender looks pretty nice..I wonder how it sounds on bass (I assume the fat switch would come in handy for that). Keep em coming!

I have a Colorsound Tonebender Jumbo built on a 1776 Effects SuckerPunch board. It's fairly true to original specs and it sounds mahoosive. Like a Muff modded for more doom.
I also have a Bender MKIII version with 2N404 Ge-cans and they take out the fizz and replace it with huge bottom end and tightness. Nothing weird done to the cirquit besides change of transistors and a few caps, they just sound like über-benders if you want something MORE than a MKII.

I did a Tone Bender MK1 recently with added ext bias for q3 and output capacitor tone control, pretty high gain transistor selection.
When you say 'Tone Bender' there's quite a few different types that all sound different.

That is so freaking sick.
Re the op: I like this question. It's cool seeing decked out versions of circuits that aren't normally taken over the top!

I have a Pigdog Loony that is huge sounding. It is a faithful take on the MKI circuit, but with the deck stacked for brutality. Almost normal MKI action on the first third of the attack dial, but after that it is infinite sustain and thick huge doom tones.

Re: Suped up Tonebender
I asked the exact same question a handful of times on several different forums. Including this one I think, though I'm not sure.
Anyway, I never got a definite answer, nothing that relates to a tonebender the way that say, a fuzz fatory relates to a fuzz face. As in, sharing the same pedigree, but adding a ton of obnoxiously weird and brutal awesomness
There's plenty of tonebender clones that are slightly more tweabable, or have a littke bot more gain, but that's it. At least as far as I know of.
Anyway, when one of my favorite pedlol companies announced a new and nice lookin pedlol called the 'fuzz bear' (as posted above)...
I was all like
It's been a while since I checked for new demo clips, but the first one, and the only one I saw/heard was pretty impressive in it's own right. It didn't show off any tonebendery sounds though, so I'm still not sure if it can be dialed in for more conventional and somewhat convincing classic fuzz tones.
