Wages of Sin was fucking awesome. Then the songwriting took a bit of a dump, and the productions just got too overblown. But I dig Wages a lot more than Johan Liiva fronted Arch Enemy.
I'd put Arch Enemy in both categories.

FTMFW: when Angela joined
WTF: when Angela left. The new chick does a pretty decent job of imitating Gossow, but doesn't come close to making it in the same realm as her regarding that raw, in your face vocal performance you get with Gossow. My heart of darkness (see what I did there?) will forever mourn for my nordic goddess.

WoS is amazing. Definitely a top 10 metal album for me... probably even top 5. I loved all 6 of the albums she sang on, especially the first 3, although I admit that I haven't listened to The Root of All Evil or Khaos Legions that much.

Swirlies shuffled through a few female vocalists.

Also, Goo Goo Dolls....

Didn't Pantera have a different lead singer in their early stages? I might just be thinking of Iron Maiden twice over. :?:

Yeah, but they were never the same after Seana left.

Napalm Death has survived an entire lineup change.

I haven't listened to their new record yet, but everything I've read underscores this perfectly.

That seems to be the consensus, yeah. Gotta budget my record buying for the next couple weeks after this last haul, but I'll hunt it down soon.

It's worth every penny. I honestly like everything they've done, but it's my favourite since the Code is Red.

Yea, Napalm Death survives anything.

Battles is a band that I think should have been singerless from the beginning. I do like the features they had on Gloss Drop, but to me they're much more compelling as an instrumental act.

As far as I'm concerned, the Misfits are a dead act. Jerry Only turned them from a super cool horror punk band into a cheesey sounding metal band. No thank you.
