I'm gassing for it because it has that frying pan tone that I want.

After the hooded bullshit I lost interest, but boredom made me watch the tech demo, now welcome the gas!

Anyone know how this compares to the TAFM? I never wondered as much about the combination of blend and gate before. But that's what interests me most about this pedal now. And the newer TAFMs all have a gate, right? The one I had years ago didn't. Still miss it a lot.

Eh, it has a weird attack which turned me off. :idk: That and the gate didn't work too well. Maybe it was my pickups.

I think the gate is actually compression according to a few videos I've seen, rather than a gate-to-silence kind of thing.

I'm interested still, hope to play one soon.

I tried it for a while, wasn't really my thing. Not saying it's a bad pedal, but if you want a big loud fuzz there's plenty more to choose from that sound a lot better than this one, imo.

I think OBNE would do well to stay away from making more dirt pedals and stick to what they're good at. Really keen to try the Reflector.

Honestly I wasn't too keen on the Procession. Nice reverb sound but the volume boost made it unusable for me.
The Black Fountain is pretty good

I had one. My favorite use was mode 1 with everything dimed. Max guitar volume gave it a pumping swell effect, rolled back to half had straight up fuzz, nearly off was a nice dirty-clean. There were some things that didn't jive though so I flipped it. I don't feel like listing them. If I wanted another fuzz with a similar sound and feature set, I'd get a TAFM.

This.

Dispite all those controls/switches, there's just not a helluva lot of useable sounds inthere. I know it's not necessary the same concept, but if I were after a decent tweakable velcro/oscillating/gated fuzz, I'd 'even' prefer a good old fuzz factory :idk:
