Bands that survived a singer change
So I recently was thinking about this because I found out that Snot is going to be touring or was? I was pretty confused because I saw the last show before the lead singer died in like 97, 98? Somewhere like that. Anyway, I listened to a new song and said "the fuck is this shit? This isn't fucking Snot god damn it!" It just got me thinking.
Some bands that failed IMO:
Alice in Chains (WTF. FAIL FAIL! IMO)
Cannibal Corps (I know this is a very debatable one, but I honestly think they started sucking bad after Barnes left)
Pink Floyd (OMFG suck city!!!!!)
Queen (I mean this one is almost funny IMO, it sounded ok, but come on)
U2 (because Bono transformed into a giant turd in the early 90's)
Black Sabbath (seriously)
Bands that rocked out with their cocks out:
Faith No More ( I mean I never heard the original but COME ON)
Opeth (yes they got better...well until recently lol)
Dillinger Escape Plan
Ok I'm losing it. Who else? What do you think?

The Dictators, Crass (kinda, for an album), Toy Dolls, Vibrators, Chaos UK, Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation
And I will disagree on Dillinger Escape Plan.

Misfits (debatable),Van Halen (awful, but successful I guess), generation x/chelsea, AOA (they had a few), Anthrax(US not UK anarcho), Lost Cherees, ummm....I will probably think of more in a bit.
DE AD KENNEDYS was the worst though. Or Judas Priest.

Despite being objectively cheesy, dream theater was a lot better after their first (second?) singer left.

This is a really good one, because like Floyd (who I assume Jwar was referencing Syd/Roger, instead of the post-Roger period we should ignore foreverUgly Nora wrote: Corrosion of Conformity

Hasn't Åkerfelt always sung for Opeth?
I like new Alice in Chains, precisely because they didn't try to replace Layne at all. It's different and doesn't have the same raw emotional pull as their Layne stuff but the new stuff is good music.

I know I'm in the minority, but my favourite Christian Death album is with Valor Kand: Atrocities.
KMFDM survived several... until Watts left.
Does Joy Division / New Order count?
