i completely get all your points though, thanks for not holding back :)
The "exposure" thing, if we're going to be honest, is a sham whether it's somebody playing a bar for free or doing demos.

You're not a major publication doing interviews with a guaranteed reach here where the payoff to the artist is guaranteed views etc.

thats's legit why people are doing it though. i posted an add on gumtree and so far have had like 10+ people keen to do it in exchange for a bit of exposure. local guys. i have 3 guys booked in to come by over the next 7 days to do more demos of some Lovetone and Foxx gear. People just seem genuinely keen to come down and play some cool stuff and have a few hundred people watch them play on youtube.

If they are better guitar players than you, it's fine. It's really a drag when somebody is demoing a cool pedal, and they aren't very good at playing the guitar.

Seems legit.

I wouldn't overthink it, it looks and sounds awesome as it is. That's coming from someone who constantly watches pedal demos online and is frustrated with 90% of em.

-Sound quality: It's usually either crappy iphone recording quality, or a rediculously good session player in a pro studio, which makes ANY pedal sound good. Like watching a block buster movie trailer. They all make you wanna go watch those movies, even though they obviously all suck. Anyway, this one was done right, great job.

-No talking: Just the info scrolling through the screen, yeay :)

-A couple different guitars, and different styles of riffs/chords: Check.

-Also: Fuck you. Now I want a green Sovtek Muff

Good luck with the shop :hello:

My thoughts and I'm no demo expert, not by a long shot. LOL.

The sound quality is good, which to me is the MOST important.

The editing is a bit rough, but not terrible at all. So probably doesn't matter at all. I would get rid of the clock too as well or do something funny with it. Make it something that stands out in your demos.

The couch sitting thing was a bit on the boring side to me. I don't mind seeing the player but I think it would be better if the played seemed more enthusiastic in their playing. Like if you're going to want exposure, rock that shit and rock it hard.

The pedal could be shown a bit bigger as well.

Other than that, I think it's ok.

Atmosphere is the key I think in demos like this. Like take Old Blood Noise Endeavors for instance, I probably would never buy one of their pedals, but their demos are really fucking cool. I mean that's what I think at least?

I'm not sure what the Vintage crowd is looking for though? lol. I'm not that guy, but I still check it out on youtube.

I know you said the guitarist is supposed to be getting exposure,so I don't know if this is a realistic idea; but if his face must be present, I would prefer if the pedal was the main image, and his face was in the smaller insert image. Something like this for example:

Some talking AT THE END would be nice, impressions of the pedal from the player and such. I hate pedal demos that start with 3 minutes of talking. I no longer am willing to sit through it, I'll spend that time looking for a better demo elsewhere.

Love the text, but agree it should be a static fade in/out and present more information on the screen at once for the pause reasons stated.

Same riff with different settings, variety of styles of riff.

overall it's already a pretty good demo.

and I'm with Nora. :thumb:

Is it me or are their settings on the lovetone that just don't cut through?

I agree with some peeps above that the pedal should be bigger and the guitarist smaller

Maybe it's just the amount of squish on the lovetone, that makes it a tough listen.
In that regard I think it's cool that you showcase a ton of settings even ones that to my ears aren't great,
Sometimes I think demos only dial in the best sounds from a pedal

I still feel the same way. I mean it's a bit better, but I seriously think you need a change of scenery. I guess it depends on why you're doing these demos too. If you're just doing them for fun, then it's whatever. haha.

Make the pedal more pronounced.
Get off that damn couch.

And I say lose the scrolling all together. Either have a voice over explain it or put it in the description. It bothered my eyes to try and read it even slowed down.

Other than that, looks/sounds good.
