Bogner gain pedals

Post by OakenTower »

What do you guys think of the Ecstasy Red and the Uberschall pedals from Bogner? Looking for tight, articulate and a lot of clarity at high gain settings.

Maybe we could get him to chime in with additional thoughts on the matter... :idk:

The Überschall pedal is earsex. The Ecstasy Red might be a bit tighter tho? Not sure

I had the RED and BLUE.
I liked the blue better, but needed more gain of the red. I could only keep one, since they're fairly expensive. kept the red.

The blue is great for amp like overdrive. It was also good for higher gain, but you had to run the boost on all the time.
I kinda wish I had kept the blue.

The red, initially was awesome.....just roaring amp-like high gain. Just massive.
Over time, I felt that it wasn't very clear.
As in, no definition....hard to pick out anything when playing. Just a roaring slurry of sound coming out.

I've always wanted an überschall. The amp I mean. But I can't justify that kind of price for the occasional half-assed tool riffage, I don't have the band nor the skills to put that kind of amp to good use. It would be cool if the überschall pedal comes close enough, but that sorta seems a bit too good to be true...Right?

It's closer than any digital model of an Überschall I've ever heard.
