Weird... He mentions that he wants stuff like xxx but xxx is already there so use it... A lot of peeps don't like the secondary features on the El Cap so making a looper with all that jazz is probably a small market... I'm glad something like a Ditto FINALLY came out, it ain't regression and who cares of its a playback device... People are gonna use what they wanna use and always telling manufactures what to make is silly... Sounds like he wants the late 80's early 90's back so he can sit with racks full of gear and a floor full of midi controllers and huge multi switch loopers... I don't get it... People like different things and it's ok...

Yeah all I took away from this post was:
But it would be sweet to have more options with loop pedals. Someone on here just mentioned the granular looping feature on the Vox looper which I didnt know existed. Sounds awesome.

I can totally see how loopers are being made ridiculously simple, but that is what most err body want. I dream of something like a ditto and a boomerang and a dl4 get it on and make a mash up, but I don't know what would be done with a lot of the stuff the OP in the thread talks about, except for try to make dubstep with a guitar. That makes me go
simple looper with button for record, stop, retrigger, delete last layer, a little switch to throw it in reverse, expression jack to slow it down/speed it up would be cool. This way you aren't doing any double tapping or anything. In my experience the double clicking is harder in a band setting than I can handle.
In the Minus the Bear Rig Rundown, the dude who does all the looping talks about how he wishes gear exists that could do everything he wants more easily, but he still makes it all work, and not even in an extremely large or expensive way.

I don't get how anyone can expect to be taken seriously when they write like that. Seriously, just write proper sentences, grouped in paragraphs with no rambling and that only contain the information you want to convey... Urgh.
I used to be on the loopers delight mailing list, I unsubscribed because it seems to be mostly populated by people like that who seem to make no distinction beween what's going on in their heads right now and what should be communicated to other people.
Beyond that, the guy somehow has a point but he's overlooking currently existing devices such as the Boss RC-505 (ugly as hell but with awesome specs) for example. And I'm pretty sure that most of the big companies who have released loopers need to sell a lot of them to make any money and most people actually just want simple enough playback-type devices, because of the music they make. I prefer delay-based loopers personally but I'm aware that I'm in the minority...
