Anyone use a kaossilator?

I have a guy wanting to trade me one. I'm thinking of starting a indie-tronica band so I thought it might come in handy. Anyone have any opinions of this thing?

Exactly what I was going to post. A lot of dj friends of mine use kaos pads during live shows. I guess I depends what you're trading to get it.

I had one of the newer minis for a bit and liked it. I think one can get more out of it if one understands scales and such.

I've owned all 3 hardware versions and like the regular v2 better than the Kaossilator Pro, because it has the best display. I'm using ikaossilator on the ipad and ipod touch now, which is more user-friendly than any of the hardware versions.

I've had Kaossilator 1, Kaoss pad, and Kaossilator for the Nintendo DS.

They'r fun. I'm not the kind of musician that cn make them work other than just noise. But if you want to goof around, they're great for wasting hours! (some people can play them like instruments. I am not so inclined)
