Really love the way this thing sounds in the demos!
So, does anyone know what the "white noise 'static' generator" actually is, or how it works?

So I have the LAL Sandstorm. I love it. For anyone that has the Sandstorm and the Static Fuzz, do the really feel all that different (when using the Sandstorm with a fuzz of course)? I would assume that the Sandstorm with another fuzz would be a bit more versitile. I guess I am just curious and not really thinking about getting the static fuzz but i figured it might be a useful comp.

The white noise in the Sandstorm really cuts through pedals to me (for better or worse), but I have found it useful in toning down pedals like the Octavella (by canceling signals), giving stutter effects with the envelope, and adding a bit of grit and character when not using something like reverb.

I don't think the two are really all that similar...based on using the Static, and demos of the Sandstorm.

Exactly. Somewhere north of lignum vitae on the Janka hardness scale. :excellent:

God save the ILF b/s/t.
