I recently got the RM-1N and have a big hairy man-crush on it, see my demo below. I also have and dig the Source Audio Dimension reverb.

Re: reverb 2015 for shoegaze/psychedelic
For anything shoegaze or postrock, I can put in another vote for three of the more affordable peddls mensioned in this thread:
RV3: Instant shoegaze reverb, and a delicious crystal clear delay. Mine was noisy, the buffer was 'leaky', but that maybe mine was just borken or something.
RV-7: Super high end prisitine sounding reverb, damn close to studio quality for a fraction of the price.
Afterneath: All kinds of awesome, but useless if you want to be able to dial in a convincing hall/room reverb. It's more of a fucked up short delay with enough controls to make it sound somewhat reverb-ish, in a washed out apocalyptic kinda way.

I don't really know whether there is a particular sound you are trying to achieve but reverb is usually of crucial importance within Shoegaze. I think most people probably end up with at least two dedicated devices. If you are attempting to replicate MBV and/or Slowdive it's probably best to just obtain a vintage rack unit. If that is not your objective I would probably suggest something versatile (Big Sky, Space, Cathedral, CDR). It may well be that you would want to acquire one of the more specialised boutique units too.
