reverb 2015 for shoegaze/psychedelic
Hey guys,
I'm looking to get a new reverb for my psychedelic/shoegaze rock band.
There are so many options today I don't know where to start. I tried the DBA Reverberation Machine but the volume boost is unusable live.
Then there's the Boss RV3, Flux Effects Liquid Ambience, TC Electronic Hall Of Fame, Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master and Aftermath, Digitech Hardwire..
Oh and there's the Industrial Electric RMN1 which could be quite awesome for shoe gaze and psychedelic rock as well...

I have the RM-N1 and all I can say is do it.
Just fucking do it man.
It's an amp in a box really. Will cover everything you could ever want in a verb pedal except for shimmer shit.
If I had to only have one pedal, it would be it.

Re: reverb 2015 for shoegaze/psychedelic
I had a Space and I sold it for the RM-1N and Valhalla Vintage Verb and beer.
I haven't regretted it really for my own applications but if OP needs massive reverse ambient type stuff in a live application then yeah the space is spot on.
Psychedelic stuff I tend to associate with dirty/springy/attacky verb and the RM-1N does this perfectly. It also does shoegaze shit real good but yeah it lacks the whole MBV reverse epic thing. I have found that pairing the RM-1N with a reverse delay (or two
) can get plenty into that world however but yeah.
Basically I prefer the RM-1N as a base verb for dirty psych and more tame shoegaze stuff. I just stack some stack weird delays on or some VST shit to take it to the next level but for a board in a live situation, RM-1N ticks all the boxes.
I had a stereo WET and an RV3 at one point as well. Both are really cool pedals in their own right. not as well equipped in regards to the psych side of it all but shoegaze? They'll work.

There's a RV-3 for $120 on Reverb. I'd snag it, but US shipping only.

Haha, yeah. Grey Ice Water. I think there are small takes on MM songs in pretty much all of my demos.PetZounds wrote:Was that Modest Mouse near the end there?UglyCasanova wrote:Joining the RM-1N craze.

I've never heard of this volume jump on the DBA reverb before. Isn't there a volume control?

Yet another reminder to stop listening to everybody's demos. At least until my debts are down to just the mortgage. because that sounds too damned nice.UglyCasanova wrote:Joining the RM-1N craze.
