How's their live show these days? I was underwhelmed by the new LP, but back in the day there were few bands better at getting the ladies to shake it on the dance floor.

They were good (well, good enough for me to put them on my list), great energy and pretty much a "greatest hits" kinda deal. The ladies did indeed shake it, but there were mostly people in their forties there. Don't get me wrong, age shouldn't limit your freedom to shake it, it was just weird being the single young guy in the crowd. Compensated by getting drunk. But yeah, they were good, though I often prefer less rehearsed performances.

You could totally apply this to when I saw White Snake, Dokken, and the Scorpians in Bakersfield 15 years ago...the ladies went crazy! No Tom Jones underwear-toss action though. Just the singer from the Scorpians throwing drum sticks into the crowd and Dan Dokken tryin' to look tough with his aviator glasses and robe.

Seeing Stiff Little Fingers last year was a bit like this too.

I also really enjoyed Afghan Whigs last year. Can't see them in a few days because I don't have money for that but they were damn good. GREAT vocals, really loud and clear sound, amazing tones, great songs, powerful delivery

Saw them in Boston and it was easily one of the best shows I've been to in awhile.

I'm a huge fanboy and this show was far better than even I expected
